iTunes link: EasyGV

Please notice that EasyGV works with Google Voice only.  If you do not have a Google Voice account then you can not use EasyGV.  To learn more about Google Voice please visit http://voice.google.com.

EasyGV is not a SIP application, it is an application to give you access to your Google Voice account.  EasyGV is not a voice over internet application as well.

Version 2.1 supports WhatToday 1.4 placing calls thru Google Voice.  While using WhatToday you can select a contact phone number and WhatToday will use EasyGV to place the call.

Directions:

1) purchase and install EasyGV
2) start EasyGV on your device
3) if the account settings have been setup goto step 6
4) enter your username and password for your Google Voice account
5) optional phone number, if you do not enter a phone number in this field then when you select 'call' from EasyGV the call will dial from your device directly (i.e. your caller ID number will be your device, if the device is an iPad or iPod touch then the call will fail).  If you enter a number in the phone number field then EasyGV will ask Google Voice to call that number and the person you want to call at the same time (i.e. your caller ID number will be your Google Voice number).  You can enter any phone number registered (one of your phone numbers defined in your Google Voice settings) with your Google Voice account.

- side note - I use my iPod touch to return phone calls by entering a land line number in my settings then when I press call in EasyGV the land line rings with the person I wanted to call.  Also the person I am callings sees the call as coming from my Google Voice number.  This would be the same process on the iPad.

6) Voicemail, the voicemail tab will list the last 25 voicemail messages for your Google Voice number.  You will see the name, if the phone number is in your contact address book (please note that your address book is not transfer to Google Voice) or the number.  On the left is a 'call' button which will start a call to the phone number, see step 5 for how the call will be placed.  On the right is a 'listen' button which will load the voice message from Google Voice to play thru your device.  There are options once the message starts to send the audio to different outlets of your device (these depend on what the device supports, iPhones support handset, speaker phone and dock connector).  There are also rewind 10 seconds, stop and fast forward 10 seconds buttons while listening to messages.  If you swipe your finger on the call you will have the option to delete the voice message.  New messages are shown in Red and cause EasyGV to have a number badge for the number of new messages.  Also if you select the name on the line then the person's details from your contact address book will be shown and you can select any phone number from there to call.  You can also select their email and street address if you have that information in your contact address book.
7) Missed, the missed tab will list the last 25 missed calls to your Google Voice number.  You will see the name, if the phone number is in your contact address book, or the phone number.  On the left is a 'call' button which will start a call to the person, see step 5 for how the call will be placed.  If you swipe your finger on the call you will have the option to delete the voice message.  Also if you select the name on the line then the person's details from your contact address book will be shown and you can select any phone number from there to call.  You can also select their email and street address if you have that information in your contact address book.
